These are constructed of reinforced steel encased in sprayed concrete (Shotcrete). Shotcrete is basically a form of sprayed concrete shot from a hose assisted by a pneumatic air system. The mix is very dry and is shot under high pressure to form a one piece shell that is monolithic, strong and durable. Sprayed concrete allows for complete freedom of size and shape.
